Meal Planning Monday

I like food.  I like lists.  And I like it when there is a game plan.  My name is Colleen and I write out a weekly menu each week.  There... I have admitted it. 


My Type A skills shine through with this little quirk.  But honestly, planning a weekly menu just makes sense.  There is no more 5 o' clock scramble to figure out what you can make out of half a carrot, leftover hamburger meat and a banana.  We eat a lot more healthy. And on top of that, we save money because there are less trips to get takeout and we waste a lot less food. 

So here is what we are planning for this week.
  • Monday: Garlic trout and Parmesan leek quinoa
  • Tuesday: Grilled pizzas with tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and basil
  • Wednesday: Meatloaf and roasted acorn squash
  • Thursday: leftovers
  • Friday: Black beans and rice
